Saturday Night Drinks @ Ogie's Trailer Park!!
Details
Hey everyone! Can't believe Halloween is already in the rearview mirror. We're going to be huddled in for winter before you know it :( Typically we associate Ogie's with tropical drinks and tiki bars, but it's also a great fall spot since it has plenty of indoor space and fantastic backyard patio. Let's get together to unwind over a couple cocktails after a long work week. If you don't mind sipping a mai tai with a bit of chill in the air, the tiki drinks are available year round if you're still in the mood for rum.
If you've been in the Providence bar scene for any length of time, you've likely at least heard of Ogie's Trailer Park. However, if it is new to you don't worry it's not an actual trailer park. Though crashing a random trailer park to drink would make for an adventurous Meetup event lol
Anyway, Ogie's is tough to describe. It's a theme bar going for a retro 1950s vibe inside and trailer park on the outside complete with fake RV facades. To make things even more confusing, they're known for their cocktails and have one of the largest menus in the city. They're especially known for their tiki (tropical) style drinks which are just as popular there in the dead of winter as they are in height of summer. Don't worry if you're not a big cocktail person, there's something for everyone. Leaning into the somewhat hipster (if that's still a thing) vibe, Ogie's has a solid selection of craft beers. Then of course there's your usual canned seltzers and ciders.
If you come hungry, Granny Boo's Kitchen has you covered. The food window at the far side of the bar offers a solid menu of bar fare that should satisfy most. They're known for their tater tots, but all of their food is great. Plus the window element makes it easy since you can still move around without being tied to table/server. We'll post a link to the bar's website below with their menu for both food and drinks.
The bar will likely be pretty busy, but we'll try to stake out a spot for the night. Hopefully with luck the weather will be on our side and we can maybe snag some seats by the firepit. We'll post a comment on how to find us when we arrive.
Later in the night, there are some spots nearby we can move to if people want to mix things up. Deadbeats around the corner is usually a favorite. Depending on our numbers there's also Kimi's or The Avery.
Please reach out to the hosts directly or leave a comment if you have any questions. Hope to see you all then!
