2025 Ugly Sweater Party!!

Happy Holidays everyone! Let’s don our ugliest sweaters and enjoy a night on the town now that the season is in full swing!

TLDR Notes:

We'll meet at GPub for at least one hour before we move to give people time to park/find the group. We'll likely stay longer. Prizes will be passed out at the first location. Once we move we will update the comments for the first several hours. Please keep sweaters appropriate for public bars, we have no control of bar policies regarding refusing entry due to vulgar attire.

This is purely a 20s & 30s Life After College event. No bar mentioned in this description or that we visit during the night is affiliated with this event. Please drink responsibility.

If you didn't come last year, this is easily one of the most fun events of the year. The hosts will be awarding prizes for some of the best sweaters. The categories will be best, funniest, and most original/creative so don’t be afraid to get adventurous. Just please remember we are going to public bars, so make sure it’s nothing that will get you kicked out haha If you’d rather not wear an ugly sweater, it’s totally optional. Feel free to still swing by to hang and enjoy the theme.

Let’s start the night at GPub like we usually do for our larger themed socials. It’s a large indoor bar with plenty of space. There are also pool tables, shuffleboard, water pong, and arcade cabinets so we’ll have plenty to keep us busy. Drinks wise GPub has pretty much anything. Their bar is massive and can make any of your staple drinks so long as you don’t go too crafty. There’s also a solid tap list, plenty of canned seltzers/cocktails, wine, and ciders. There’s easily something for everyone. They may also have some signature cocktails for the season. There’s also a kitchen if you come hungry.

We'll likely stay at Gpub the longest since it's a good gathering spot. If you want to eat during the event, GPub will likely be your safest bet since we'll be there for a while. We’ll spend at least an hour there just to give people time to find parking since it will be a little harder to track us down later in the night. We’ll likely stay a little longer than an hour, especially if the weather is rough. GPub will be where we pass our the prizes. Once we move, the hosts will try to keep the comment section updated on the group’s location up until later in the night.

After GPub there are plenty of options a short walk away. We’ll try to see if anything fun is happening around town. More than likely we’ll end at Freeplay which is usually a crowd favorite.

Now for the more serious stuff. Just a couple quick notes.

While we may move bars, this isn't a pub crawl. We don't have a list of bars we plan to visit or a set structure for the event, it will depend on the night and what the group would like to do. If you attended last year, it will be similar. If you have any requests or suggestions reach out to the hosts in advance or talk to us at the event. We'll do our best to accommodate requests.

We are asking that everyone please drink responsibly and stay safe throughout the night. Additionally, we highly recommend using a ride share service or planning a designated driver in advance if possible. By RSVPing to this event you are agreeing that you are responsible for any damages/injuries you may incur as a result of your own conduct, and that you waive the meetup and its' hosts from any liability for damages/injuries you may incur.
