Little City Thrifty @ Waterfire Arts Center!!
Details
Hey everyone! We hope everyone is doing well after the Blizzard! Little City Thrifty is back in Providence, so we figured we'd check it out to do a little something different.
TLDR Notes: Tickets for this event are selling fast, many sessions are already sold out. We highly recommend purchasing in advance, we cannot guarantee tickets will be available on the day. See link below to purchase. Be sure to purchase the Saturday 3/7 3pm session. Tickets include a drink with entry. In the past there was a line to get into this event at open, please make sure you dressed warm enough to stand in a brief line just incase. We may make a stop to another location after to enjoy a drink away from all the chaos of the market once everyone is done shopping.
Little City Thrifty has been holding bi annual vintage pop up markets in the event space at the Waterfire Arts Center for several years now. The markets can be a little on chaotic side, but you'll find all sorts of treasures amidst the racks. Last time we attended, one of us seriously considered buying a comically large racoon coat straight out of a Macklemore music video. (Eddie is writing this and not Emma, if you can't tell by the rather dated pop culture reference lol One may say my joke is vintage...ok I'll stop now lol)
The event promises tons of vendors selling anything from vintage clothing, jewelry, records, books, random trinkets, and plenty more. Trust us there's plenty to look at while your there. On top of the vintage vendors, the event also has drinks and food available for purchase. Tickets include a drink. There also mocktails and coffee. Tickets are just under $10 so it's a pretty good deal.
This event will likely sell out, so please purchase your tickets as soon as possible. The link to their website is below. Make sure you purchase the Saturday 3/7 at 3pm session. One other quick note. This event is popular and can hit capacity since the earlier session attendees can stay beyond 3pm. In the past some of us were stuck in a brief line to get in. Just make sure you're dressed warm enough if that happens.
We may check out another spot once everyone has finished shopping. Right now we're considering Industrious Spirit Co (ISCO) or Nighttime PVD cocktail bar since they're not too far away. The host(s) will decide on the day.
Please keep an eye on the comments for updates. We'll likely get scattered a little while shopping. The host(s) will pick a spot to gather everyone and hopefully regroup.
Please reach out to the host(s) directly if you have any questions, or leave a comment below. Hope to see everyone there!
