What we’re about

The Applied AI Forum is a Richmond-based think tank and community for professionals exploring the real-world use of AI to drive productivity and solve complex problems with AI systems.

We focus on discussions and education around the scaffolding that makes large language models actually useful—Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), reasoning models, multi-agent systems, context engineering, and white-collar task automation—practical layers that transform how enterprises, public institutions, and individuals operate.

Here are some educational outcomes we're shooting for:

  • Unlocking productivity through automation of tedious, manual tasks
  • Educating leaders and teams on high-value use-cases and deployment models
  • Creating vision for how Virginia can lead the way in responsible AI adoption
  • Connecting thinkers, builders, and decision-makers from both the public and private sectors

Whether you're in tech, business, academia, or policy, this group exists for growth-minded professionals to share knowledge and lay the foundation for making Virginia an AI powerhouse on the East Coast.

Expect some meaty and valuable discussions.
