Alcove House Hike – Bandelier National Monument

🐾 Dogs: Allowed (must be on a leash)

This has become a yearly tradition and one of my favorite hikes. We’re heading back to Alcove House in Bandelier! The trail is 2.5 miles out and back with 209 ft of elevation gain and features a series of ladders leading up to a cliff dwelling once home to the Ancestral Pueblo people.

It’s a unique hike with cultural significance, beautiful views, and a chance to climb into history.

What to Bring:
• Plenty of water
• Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
• Comfortable shoes for hiking and ladder climbing
• National Park Pass if you have one
