Mariposa Basin Park Loop

I went out to check out Mariposa Basin Park at night and the gates are open until 10:00, so it is an option for an evening walk. It is a short 1.1 mile loop with almost no elevation gain, so it is an easy and relaxed route.
It does feel a little different out there after dark. The park is quiet, open, and has a calm nighttime vibe that makes it feel totally different from during the day. There is no lighting along the trail, so it gets very dark once the sun goes down.
Since the loop is short, we may do two laps if people are feeling good and want a little more distance.
Headlamps or flashlights will definitely be needed for this one.
This would be a great option if we want something easy, flat, and peaceful for a night walk. Dogs are welcome on a leash.
