About the Hike:

Ball Ranch is an incredible hidden gem that may soon become inaccessible due to a bill that could transfer the land to the San Felipe Pueblo. This could be one of our last chances to explore this amazing area—so let’s get out there while we can!

This 4.26-mile loop offers breathtaking scenery, wild horses, hoodoos, petrified wood, and varied terrain that make for a true adventure.
• Distance: 4.26 miles
• Elevation Gain: 427 ft
• Estimated Time: ~2 hours 23 minutes
• Difficulty: Moderate (rocky incline at the start, sandy sections, mostly flat after)

What to Bring:

✅ Plenty of water (stay hydrated!)
✅ Snacks for energy
✅ Sun protection (hat, sunscreen – limited shade)
✅ Sturdy hiking shoes

This is a carpool event, as the road past the first gate is rough—high-clearance vehicles are strongly recommended.
