November Camping Trip - City of Rocks State Park NM
Details
This trip is scheduled for November 6–8 because the weather should be cooler and much more comfortable for camping and exploring. It is also the week after daylight savings, so the evenings will come a little earlier, which makes for perfect campfire nights.
We will be staying at the Orion Group Site, which can hold up to 20 people. The cost is $10 per person. Once you pay, I will move you from the waitlist to the going list. If something comes up and you can’t make it, you will be refunded.
There is no RV parking at our specific group site, but there is RV parking directly across from us. If you plan on bringing an RV, please let me know so I can count you separately.
The plan is pretty simple. We will camp, relax around the campfire, possibly head into Silver City, maybe get a hike in, and just enjoy the weekend together.
The drive in through the Gila is also a sight to see, so enjoy the trip getting there. We’ve been here a few times before and this really is the best time of year to visit. The rock formations out there are amazing, and this place never disappoints.
Should be a great weekend of camping, exploring, and good company.
I will leave at 9am on Friday. I can meet at the Walmart in los lunas if anyone would like to caravan. If not I will see you there
