Embudo Trail to Three Gun and Back

Note: Debbie and I want to get ready for some hikes coming up so this will be a harder hike than most Making Strides hikes. Please make sure you are prepared for this kind of hike. This hike has 1700 feet of elevation gain over 3.25 miles out and then returns by the same route for 6.5 miles total. It does have some rocky sections near the top. There will be great views along the way. We will plan to stop for lunch at the top.

There is not much shade so bring a hat and sunscreen along with plenty of water and food. The forecast is for a warm spring day with the high in town of 84. Poles and good hiking shoes/boots will be useful, especially for the higher sections. Dogs who can go this distance are welcome on leash.
