Rinconada Canyon
Details
We used to do this hike during the very first year of Making Strides, and it's been quite a while since we've visited Rinconada Canyon.
This is an easy 2.2-mile loop with very little elevation gain, making it a great hike for all experience levels. Along the way we'll get to enjoy the beautiful scenery and, of course, the amazing petroglyphs that make this area so special.
One thing to keep in mind is that there is little to no shade on this trail, so please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat if you'd like.
I've heard the parking lot may have been expanded, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I'll be heading over there soon to take a look at the parking situation. Until then, I'm setting this event at 10 people just to be safe. If it turns out there's more parking available, I'll open up additional spots.
I'm looking forward to revisiting one of the trails that helped get Making Strides started.
See you on the trails!
