Let's get outside and enjoy a summer evening on the trails! This time we'll be heading to the Stripmine and Chalkdust Trails Loop in the Bernalillo Watershed.

This is a 2.9-mile moderate loop with about 341 feet of elevation gain. The trail offers some great views, a little bit of New Mexico mining history, and plenty of beautiful desert scenery along the way.

The trail can be rocky in places, so hiking boots or sturdy shoes are recommended. As always, please bring plenty of water, especially with these warm temperatures.

Dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash.
Come join us for a relaxing evening hike, some fresh air, and great company.

See you on the trails!
