Camping at Wild Rivers National Recreation Area

The last Making Strides camping trip was so fun we have to do it again. This time we’ll explore the Wild Rivers National Recreation Area. This beautiful site is located along the Rio Grande Gorge where the Red River joins the Rio Grande. The area is home to Big Horn Sheep and there are hikes into the gorge.

The campground is first come, first served so several of us will get there on Thursday to hold as many spaces as possible. You’re more than welcome to join us early!!! There is space for small RVs (the website says <20’).

The cost is $7 per campsite and 2 vehicles per campsite.
