ABQ Latin America Film Festival

Albuquerque's Latin American Film Festival--something to look forward to!!
Making Strides and Movies and Entertainment Meetup are co-hosting the opening movie at the 2026 LatinAm Film Festival at 5pm.
$10 tickets will be available online in August; this notice is to get an idea of how many Making Striders want to go. It will be a social event, a chance for us to mix and mingle at The Guild Cinema, 3405 Central Ave NE.

Film synopsis:

La Cocina dives straight into the chaotic, pressure-cooker world of "The Grill," a bustling NYC Times Square restaurant tourist trap. It’s a wild, heartbreaking look at how the American Dream can shortchange undocumented Mexican workers, focusing on Pedro (played by a charismatic Raúl Briones) and his girlfriend. Pedro goes on an unhinged rampage, wrecking kitchen gear, smashing soda lines, and freezing the restaurant in its tracks. (In Spanish with English subtitles!)
