Greg will be comfortably sleeping in a tent this weekend, so I'll be taking over today!

We'll continue exploring the Santa Fe area and enjoying some cooler mountain weather with the Big Tesuque Trail. This is a 3.7-mile moderate loop with about 583 feet of elevation gain. The trail begins at Big Tesuque Campground and follows Tesuque Creek through a beautiful forest before looping back on a gradual climb.

This is a great trail if you're looking to escape the summer heat and spend a morning surrounded by tall pines, fresh mountain air, and beautiful scenery.

Please bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots, and don't forget a light jacket if you're someone who gets chilly in the mountains. Dogs are welcome on a leash.

This will be a carpool event. We'll meet at the Target in Paseo, and anyone coming from Santa Fe is welcome to meet us at the trailhead.

See you on the trails!
