Stripmine and Chalkdust Trails Loop
Details
A bit of a change. this will now be Stripmine Loop in Placitas. it is about 2.9 miles and about 400ft elevations gain.
Now that the weather is finally starting to cool down, let's go explore Placitas Open Space a little differently.
MEETING LOCATION
We will meet at the Sandoval County/U.S. 550 Rail Runner Station in Bernalillo.
Please park at the far end of the parking lot, away from the main station area. Look for the Making Strides group when you arrive.
We'll meet there, get everyone together, and then head to the trail.
IMPORTANT
The days are getting shorter, so please bring a headlamp or flashlight. Even if we expect to finish before dark, everyone should have one just in case we're still making our way back as the light starts disappearing.
Bring water, good hiking shoes, sun protection, your headlamp or flashlight, and your usual hiking gear.
With the cooler weather coming in, this should be a great time to get outside, explore some different trails, and see what kind of route we can put together.
