Downhill Snow Sports - Skis, Boards and Bikes
Details
Sipapu's terrain is great for experts to take some seasonal warm up laps - and it's a perfect place to learn! Anything you want to use to go on the snow is "in flow" at Sipapu.
They rent skis, boards, ski-bikes and ski-skates. They have two "magic carpets" to build your confidence standing up before moving to a sit down ski lift, and they offer an amazing FREE lesson to any newbies: https://www.sipapu.ski/never-ever-lessons/
This first post is a heads up for one ski trip per month during the season. Each of the selected dates should have $10 resort credit associated. Sipapu is so happy to have you, they buy your lunch.
Lock in your snow play day now!
FLEX PRICING: Lift ticket prices are super cheap, at press time, today's lift ticket price for: Dec 17 - THU / Jan 20 - WED / Feb 17 - WED / Mar 20 - SAT are $9 AS OF NOW. The price increases as the date approaches, . https://www.sipapu.ski/lift-tickets/
The event posting is for Sipapu's hours of lift operation. You are not required to stay the whole time. The day is open to your schedule and adventure level.
Our meeting place will be the creekside boulder across from the rest rooms. Look for others from the group there at the top of the hour, starting at 9am, including at least 12 noon and 3pm.
Everyone is free to meet at the boulder at 9, driving yourselves.
I'm also thinking of options for folks to carpool from ABQ around 6:30 and SF around 7:30 IF people want to caravan/carpool. I met someone carpooling on a previous Making Strides Sipapu trip that I still ski with!
Hit the comment box below or the Discussion titled Snowsports and Skitrips 2027 with any questions and keep an eye for the 2027 dates to pop up as events once the snow flies!
