Sabino Open Space Trails

A Change of Plans for This Weekend!

Due to the recent heavy rain and flooding, I've had to cancel our two originally scheduled hikes this weekend. Instead, we're staying a little closer to home and exploring Sabino Canyon Open Space near Tijeras!

We'll be combining two easy loop trails for approximately 3 miles of hiking.

Trail Details
Sabino Canyon Open Space: West Loop
Distance: 2.1 miles
Elevation Gain: 206 feet
Difficulty: Easy
Estimated Time: 49 minutes

Sabino Canyon Open Space: East Loop
Distance: 0.9 miles
Elevation Gain: 85 feet
Difficulty: Easy
Estimated Time: 21 minutes
Combined Hike
Total Distance: 3 miles

Total Elevation Gain: Approximately 291 feet
Estimated Hiking Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes
Trail Type: Two loops
Dogs: Welcome on leash

Please note: Rain is also forecast for the day of our hike, so I'll be keeping a close eye on the radar and trail conditions. Safety remains the priority, and I'll provide updates if we need to make any additional changes.

Sometimes plans change, but that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy a great day outdoors!

See you in the trails!
