Each meeting starts with attendee introductions, and please keep them to about 20-30 seconds. Tell us your name, the nature of your business, and your ideal clients.
After the participant introductions, our speaker presents for about 20 minutes, allowing time for questions. We make sure to end the Q&A by 2:25 p.m. to allow time for networking and announcements. We end at 2:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
At the June 9 meeting, Lori Dubois of Sacred Story Stones will present:
Personal vs. Professional Info on Your Social Media:
An Approach to Deciding What’s OK to Share on Your Platforms and Why It Matters
Presentation Description
Social media is a powerful way to connect and build relationships — but how do you decide what personal information belongs on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube?
Should you keep your business presence strictly professional? Share stories about family, pets, hobbies, or everyday life? Does your industry matter? Are there any real rules?
In this engaging session, Lori Dubois will help you develop guidelines for sharing your story in a way that feels authentic and appropriate for you.
She’ll explore how understanding your ideal audience helps shape what you choose to share and introduce her “4 R’s of Storytelling” framework for creating content that feels both relevant and genuine.
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how to balance personal and professional content while staying true to your voice and your brand.
Bio
Lori Dubois is a storyteller, word alchemist, and branding expert who has helped people craft and share meaningful stories for more than 35 years.
Her background in branding and marketing communications taught her that words matter — and how they are delivered matters just as much.
After owning her marketing company, Marketing Troubadour, for 15 years, Lori founded Sacred Story Stones, a business that creates semi-precious stone bead strings and jewelry designed to inspire empowerment, self-reflection, and positive self-talk. Each piece is paired with affirmations centered around themes such as Self-Love, Balance, and Gratitude.
Lori believes the most important stories are the ones we tell ourselves. Through her work, she encourages people to embrace their unique stories, communicate authentically, and recognize that they are already enough.
Important to know:
Please honor the RSVP rule of only coming to the Meetup if you are on the RSVP list as a Yes.
