Prov to Newport Ferry $12-24rt to cliff walk

It was suggested by the group for an adventure to Newport.

Let’s take the 9am Newport Ferry departing from India Point, off 25 Portugal Ave, Providence.

There is a free parking lot for the ferry, or street parking or a free shuttle to the ferry landing from Amtrak train station or Kennedy plaza.

They have alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and snacks on board for purchase. You can bring your own snacks. No hard coolers allowed. You can bring leashed dog or cat.

We will arrive to Newport at 10:30am to 39 America Cup Ave.

There is a chance it might sell out.

We will meet before Providence departure for greeting and gathering. Newport can involve a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes.

Anyone can or is also welcome to meet us on your own via car or bus if that is a better option for you.

Once in Newport you can enjoy however you want or join to walk up to the cliff walk where there is a view or swim Easton’s (First) Beach.
There are places to stop for coffee or pastry.

We can also stop by Thames Street for small business spotlight, Beau Tyler- a shop for good hearted people and their pets. There is also shopping and spots for ice cream, fudge and food.

There are lots of lunch or early dinner options. To eat together or at your leisure of choice.

There are also mansions to tour, tennis hall of fame, Newport art museum, Newport public library and Audrain car museum or shop, drink and enjoy the views.

We wrap up and take the ferry back, meeting at 5pm for the 5:30 return to Providence. There is one last ferry at 9:20pm if you decide to stay later or make your own plans after.
