We host weekly board game nights at PickOne BoardGames, a cozy lounge in Richmond. Our events are beginner-friendly, and we’re always happy to teach games.
What to expect — On a typical night (20–30 people), we usually have a couple of larger tables (~8 players) playing casual party games and a few smaller tables (~4 players) playing light to mid-weight strategy games. When you arrive, we’ll match you to a table based on your preference. If you come between 5:30–6:30 PM, you can usually jump in quickly and help decide what to play; later arrivals may have a short wait (around 10–15 minutes). People often move between tables throughout the night, so it’s a flexible and social experience 👍
I know coming to a new space without knowing anyone can feel a little intimidating. Don’t worry — I’ll greet you at the door and make sure you’re included at a table. If I ever miss you, just shout “Kim!” and I’ll come find you. Making sure everyone has a great time is my personal mission. So don’t be shy! Come hang out, play some games, and meet new friends.
The space is open until 11:00 PM, with a $10 venue entry fee that covers the whole day. We’ll officially start game night at 5:30 PM so everyone can try to arrive around the same time, but you’re also welcome to come earlier and chill. It's also totally fine to arrive late, but please let us know so we won't all starting a long game without you! We don't want anyone to left behind. :)
The venue offers a collection of 150+ board games, and you’re welcome to bring your own favorites as well.
