Friday Night Volleyball at Root River Center in Franklin - $5 cash at event

Huzzah! On Fridays in the outdoor season we will be playing at Root River Center in Franklin. This is an awesome facility with 8 sand courts outside. It is also a bowling alley and a bar. This is the first year our group is running Friday nights there. We are very lucky to have access to this facility. There were events there before and apparently people did bring alcohol which is unacceptable. Just don’t do it - due to how detrimental this is to our ability to play at bars, you will be kicked out of the group if you bring alcohol to a bar for an event. Also, we are not allowed to bring food, as they have a full menu. They will have someone available to serve us drinks and food. They also ask that we don’t bring water in plastic water bottles since you can purchase them there, but you can bring metal or plastic reusable bottles with water. Since we have a plethora of courts, we will have options to separate out and play sixes or quads or whatever ends up making sense with the group that we have. We will be scheduled there from 7 to 10 PM. It sounds like if staff is available we may be able to play until 10:30 but no later than that. In the past, some people have moved to Rawson Pub to play later into the night, but if that is desired this year, I would have to check with them to see how they want to run that cost wise.

We will play in a variety of weather conditions. Recommend dressing in layers and having sweatpants and a jacket you could play in your car, in addition to a light rain jacket and sand socks.

It will be $5 to play at Root River. You need to pay in cash and you need to pay them - by the outdoor bar by the courts. At the time you pay, you will also need to sign a waiver, a new waiver every time you play.
