About us
The Santa Fe Forest Coalition is an all volunteer nonprofit that educates the public, the media and policy makers on critical issues concerning forest and wildlife preservation in New Mexico. We host hikes through the Santa Fe National Forest and other educational activities.

Aspen Ecology Hike, September 27th
Kakawa Chocolate House, 1050 Paseo De Peralta, Santa Fe, NM 87501, USA, Santa Fe, NM, USJoin Sam Hitt on a hike through the Santa Fe National Forest amongst the golden boughs of the aspen trees! Enjoy a moderate hike and enjoy the beautiful vistas, all while learning the story of aspen resilience in the face of the warming and drying climate.
Meet at 9:30 a.m. to carpool from the PERA Parking Lot near Kakawa Chocolate House, 1050 Paseo De Peralta. All hikes are on local trails less than three miles long with minimal elevation gain. Bring a hat, water, and rain gear. Contact Sam Hitt at info@wildwatershed.org for more information.
