Big Tesuque Ecology Hike

Come join us for an educational hike on Saturday, August 8th! We will be discussing the ecology of the Santa Fe National Forest, with a specific focus on our white pine population. The Santa Fe National Forest happens to be the meeting place of two species of this tree, but they are currently under threat from logging and parasitic fungus. If you want to learn more about this wondrous tree and what we can do to protect it, then this hike is for you!

We will be meeting at 9:30 A.M. at the Kakawa Chocolate House on Paseo De Peralta. Please park in the pera parking lot nearby. From there we will carpool to Big Tesuque trail. This hike will be several miles, and should take about 3 hours. Heavily shaded, but please bring water and a rain jacket in case of weather.
