It's the May Day bank holiday weekend so we're heading a little further afield, over the border to llovelly Llangollen and the surrounding hills.
On this slightly longer than usual trek we'll be visiting a plethora of local sights and landmarks, starting with the impressive ruins of Castell Dinas Brân, perched on the hill overlooking Llangollen.
From there we'll head out along the Offa's Dyke path, taking in the lofty views of the Dee Valley hills until we literally reach the World's End (a narrow vale at the head of the Eglwyseg Valley).
Then we'll follow the valleys to Valle Crucis Abbey and down to the River Dee, past the steam railway station and back into picturesque Llangollen.
A few miles to cover and some steep paths on this hike so a decent level of experience required.
