Here's another chance to visit Malham Cove for those too broken after the Yorkshire Three Peaks in early June!

Even if you've seen it before, this spectacular natural feature within the Yorkshire Dales is well worth a revisit. As an added bonus we'll attempt the short scramble up the equally impressive Gordale Scar.

If we've had a lot of rain we may need to skip the scramble and take the longer, scenic route around it.

Also weather permitting, we'll see if it's warm enough to have a dip in the pool at Janet's Foss.

Arrive early if you want a decent/cheap parking spot!

Starting point...

Outside The Old Barn Tearoom at Malham:

Get there early if you want a pre-hike cuppa or need to use the facilities.

Parking...

There's parking on Chapel Gate - the road coming into Malham from the South - with £2 honesty boxes:

Alternatively, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Car Park in Malham is £5.50 all day:

After the hike...

We'll head to one of Malham's three lovely pubs for a post-hike drink.

Dogs...

No dogs on this one sorry as we'll potentially be doing a spot of scrambling.

What to bring...

Please bring snacks, water and appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather.
