Trentham and Swynnerton (13 Miles, Moderate)

Ow at? Orate? It's high time we took a trip to Trentham. And yes, I know it's venturing dangerously close to Stoke, but it's also blummin' lovely. So pack your pottery and your oak cakes and come enjoy the Staffordshire scenery.
For a change, this route was planned and recce'd by Macc Marauders regular and Stoke resident, Chris, although I'll be leading as usual.

The Route
Starting from Trentham Estate, we'll head through the golf course and Hanchurch Fishing Club, out to the lush woodlands of Swynnerton Old Park.
Then we head past the Beech Caves and up Tittensor Hill to meet the Duke of Sutherland and share a view out over Trentham Lake and Gardens.
After that we'll swing past Monkey World, through King's Wood and into Trentham Park before returning to the shopping village for a drink at the Trentham Craft Bar.

Well behaved dogs are welcome on the walk and in the pub afterwards.

Here's a guide to the difficult rating:
• Easy - Short distance, less than ten miles and mostly flat. Suitable for anyone capable of a brisk stroll.
• Moderately Easy - Shortish distance, around ten miles, some gentle hills. For those who walk regularly but don't have too much hiking experience.
• Moderate - Between ten and twelve miles, a few decent hills with potentially steep sections. For those with some hiking experience.
• Moderately Challenging - Longer distance, twelve miles or over with lots of hills. Suitable for hikers who enjoy being out for most of the day.
• Challenging - Around fifteen miles or more, with hills, mountains and maybe the odd scramble. For experienced hikers who like pushing themselves.
• Hard - Long distance, sometimes over twenty miles, with mountains and difficult terrain. Only suitable for fit, experienced hikers.
