Here's another Peak District belter.
Starting at Baslow, we'll follow the River Derwent through the quaint hamlets of Corbar, Froggatt and Grindleford before looping back along the edges of Froggatt, Corbar and Baslow with views over the Derwent Valley and beyond.
Expect manor ruins, stepping stones, pinnacle stones, millstones and stone circles.
We're spoilt for choice for lunch spots on this one with multiple cafés and community shops en route.
The Café on the Green at the start point opens at 9:30am so arrive early if you fancy a pre-hike brew.
After the hike we'll pop to one of Baslow's pubs for refreshments.
Meeting point
9:45am outside Café on the Green in Baslow for a prompt 10am start.
Parking
If you arrive early enough there's free spaces on the road near the café. Or it's a steep £6.60 at the Nether End Car Park.
If you want free parking and you do mind a five minute walk to the start, I'd suggest Ecton Hill road.
Public transport
The 170 bus between Bakewell and Chesterfield stops at Baslow and gets there in plenty on time for the walk.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome on the walk and in the pub afterwards.
What to bring
Please bring a packed lunch, water and appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather and terrain.
