About us
Welcome to The Coastal Sea Glass Discovery Club. This group is for anyone who enjoys walking along the shoreline and wants to learn more about the treasures hidden in the sand. Whether you are a total beginner who has never picked up a piece of glass or someone who already has a small jar at home, you are welcome to join us as we explore the basics of beachcombing. We focus on identifying different types of glass, understanding how the tides affect our finds, and learning the history behind the pieces we recover.
Our meetups are low-pressure outings meant to get us outside and sharing stories. We usually pick a stretch of beach, spend a couple of hours walking and searching, and then gather to look at what everyone found. It is a great way to meet neighbors, enjoy the fresh air, and sharpen your eye for those elusive frosted gems.
