Sunday Inspirational Talk - What's the Point Anyway?

Details

As we move into the beginning of a new cycle of seasons with the fall, we'll examine Transcendent Purpose. Having a clear purpose carries us through dark and stormy times into the new creation of spring. We recognize that the dark and stormy times, rather than something to be avoided or judged as "bad," are themselves part of the creation process.
Transcendent purpose is the fusion of going beyond perceived limits and living with deep awareness, determination, and intention. It represents a radical vision of surpassing outer limits, imagining infinite possibilities, and achieving what seems unattainable. By merging transcendent aspirations with purposeful living, you create a powerful trajectory toward extraordinary accomplishments on both personal and collective levels.
Living from transcendent purpose means reaching inwardly to express outwardly what Spirit is calling for, connecting to a higher vision that transforms imagination into tangible experience. This approach to purpose transcends ordinary goals, guiding us toward a profound truth and a new paradigm of living both personally and globally.
We'll begin our journey by asking the pointed question - What's the point anyway? When things look hopeless, it's important to know what's calling us, what wants to be birthed through us, that is greater than the external challenges. We take a journey of self-realization, where the purpose of living is simply to experience life in all its richness and diversity. Understand your intrinsic worth and value, not from achievements or societal standards, but simply because you exist.

Our weekly Sunday Service explores ideas from many faith traditions and how to live practically as a spiritual person in today's world. We are based on the Science of Mind, (not related to Scientology) the work of Ernest Holmes, one of the best known New Thought teachers and writers of the 1900's. Music, meditation, talk, youth program. We are an open and affirming community for all. We begin with a 15 minute meditation at 10:30. The service, beginning at 11, consists of an opening prayer, meditation, music, talk, and an invitation to support this community. In addition to our in-person, we will livestream to YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgO1a71-xK5o8JL8vMaPbYA
