Sunday Inspirational Talk - I Agree to Live My Mission

(Monthly summary:) We begin the new year by building a foundation to create a year we love. And we'll do this by looking at the agreements we have. Agreements with others, with the universe and, especially, with ourselves. Our guide on this journey will be Marian Head's classic "Revolutionary Agreements: A Personal Path to Peace on Earth."
This book proposes 12 agreements, divided into three categories, to support our inner and inter relationships.
For January, we look at the category of truth - our truth, our authenticity. George Orwell said "During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."
This week: We'll begin with perhaps the most core agreement - I agree to live my mission. The importance of our mission is not necessarily to achieve it, but to live it.

Our weekly Sunday Service explores ideas from many faith traditions and how to live practically as a spiritual person in today's world. We are based on the Science of Mind, (not related to Scientology) the work of Ernest Holmes, one of the best known New Thought teachers and writers of the 1900's. Music, meditation, talk, youth program. We are an open and affirming community for all. We begin with a 15 minute meditation at 10:30. The service, beginning at 11, consists of an opening prayer, meditation, music, talk, and an invitation to support this community.
