Sunday Talk - I Was Made for Loving You

This week: We were born to love all life. Sometimes it’s not as easy as it sounds. Life and love can be messy and imperfect. Still, we get to ask ourselves, how actively are we showing up as Love in the world?
(Monthly summary:) This month, we're fully immersing ourselves in Higher Deeper Love. We'll redefine love, reexamine our relationship with it, and elevate our awareness, discovering it's far grander than we've allowed. Our journey begins with "I Want to Know What Love Is," inviting us to see love beyond romance. We'll embrace discomfort and joy, recognizing every experience and ourselves as Love. Next, "I Was Made for Loving You" challenges us to see how our inner relationship with love impacts every connection. We'll question how actively we are showing up as love in the world, right now. Our exploration expands with "What's Love Got to Do With It?" as we consider our profound interconnectedness. We'll bring awareness to ancestral and historical wounds around love, to foster healing. Finally, "Love Lifts Us Up Where We Belong" invites us to view the world's systems through the eyes of Love, honoring its paradox of flaws and healing. This path with Love calls us, individually and collectively, to embrace our inherent loving nature and listen with our hearts for our part to play. Our weekly Sunday Service explores ideas from many faith traditions and how to live practically as a spiritual person in today's world. We are based on the Science of Mind, (not related to Scientology) the work of Ernest Holmes, one of the best known New Thought teachers and writers of the 20th century. We have music, meditation, talk, and a youth program. We are an open and affirming community for all. We begin with a 15 minute meditation at 10:30. The service, beginning at 11, consists of an opening prayer, meditation, music, talk, and an invitation to support this community.
