Come Make New Friends

I always say that you find new friends by sharing an interest, or passion, or hobby. Well, my favorite hobby right now is playing Dungeons and Dragons (D&D). I'm curious how many other people like to play or would like to learn how.

So, if you like to play table top roll playing games (like D&D) or are curious about learning more, this event is for you!

I will bring books and materials for people to use. If you could bring something to write with - a pen or pencil - then that would be helpful.

As of the time of this posting, I have no idea how many people are going to sign up and attend, so if there are any experienced players who would like to come to help with the introduction, I would appreciate the help - just in case this event is more popular than I anticipate.

The event starts at 4pm, but please feel free to stop by anytime while the event is going on. But, please realize if you show up after the start time, you may miss some of the information related to the introduction.

Several people have requested both a daytime hangout and a week day hangout. I'll try to cover both bases with this event.

I'll stop by the McMenamins on Broadway for lunch, and anyone is welcome to join me. The Broadway location is a great second story restaurant with great character. And, there should be ample (free) street parking this time of day in this neighborhood.

This group was created because I believe connecting with other people is what brings purpose and meaning to our lives. If you think you might be well served by finding a new friend or two, I encourage you to make it out to this event.

I suggest thinking about some interests/hobbies/passions you may want to talk about for this event. I have found that a good start to finding friends is to share a hobby or interest or passion.
