I believe that connecting with other people is what bring purpose and meaning to our lives. This event is a chance to get out of the house, socialize, and perhaps make a new friend or two!

There is a separate event posted at the Portland Art Museum starting at 4pm - so this event serves two purposes. First, to have an informal social and second to be a pre-event for the She Brew festival.

I realize this is posted only a few days before the event date. So, this is an impromptu gathering - and not entirely representative of most of the events in this group. But if you have no plans Saturday afternoon yet, and feel like being a little spontaneous, then come on out!

Since there will be no designated space for our group, I'll be wearing a Santa hat which should be easily recognizable.

I suggest thinking about some interests/hobbies/passions you may want to talk about for this event. I have found that a good start to finding friends is to share a hobby or interest or passion.

On March 7th, we’re heading to the SheBrew Festival to back the incredible female brewers and cider makers driving our local craft industry! Kicking off Women’s History Month, this is the perfect way to invest in our community while having a blast.

The Cause ️‍
100% of proceeds go to the Human Rights Campaign, supporting equality and the small businesses behind the craft. Beyond the cause, this is about getting offline to make new friends and build real, face-to-face connections. We’re hitting the 2nd Session for the peak energy of the day! ⚡

The Details ✨
• The Deal: $40 General Admission includes 12 beer tastings, a commemorative glass, and an annual HRC membership.

• Important: Ensure you select the Second Session (4pm–7pm) when purchasing.

• The Meetup: On the day of the festival, we’ll post a specific spot for the group to meet so we can walk through together.

If you are new to Meetup or attending alone, you are in the right place. Most of our members arrive solo with the same goal: making genuine connections. We focus on hobbies, passions, and interests as the bridge to new friendships. Stop by anytime; there is no such thing as being late. Look for Amara or Aaron when you arrive. We are here to facilitate the space and help kickstart conversations. 🗣️
