I believe connecting with other people is what brings purpose and meaning to our lives. So, if you think your life would be enriched by making a new friend or two, this event is for you!
I know several people have been asking for an alcohol-free event, so this is an attempt to fill those requests.
We will be having Sunday Brunch at a popular food cart pod called THE HEIST. There are 18 food vendors to choose from and ample seating for even the largest groups.
There are carts that sell alcohol in this food cart pod - so the only request I have for people attending this event is that you abstain from purchasing an alcoholic drink while you are interacting with the group.
This is a co-hosted event with the Facebook group "Alcohol-Free Activities for Alcohol-Sober and Sober Curios People - PDX," which was created to foster meaningful connections amongst people in the greater Portland area who are dedicated to sobriety from alcohol.
Since this area is open to the public, I'll be wearing a distinct hat so you should be able to easily find me when you arrive. And, I can point out where everyone else in the group is.
The event starts at 1130am, but if you cannot make it by the start date, feel free to join anytime thereafter. Just please be aware that this event is only an hour and a half, so if you do not arrive close to the start time, people may be leaving by the time you arrive.
I suggest thinking about some interests/hobbies/passions you may want to talk about for this event. I have found that a good start to finding friends is to share a hobby or interest or passion.
I hope to see you there!
