Friday Night Social - Great Conversation and New Friends To Start The Weekend

Hopefully this invite description isn't too heavy, but you'll have to excuse me as I'm going to get a little philosophical for this one.

A quote I heard recently that really resonated with me is: "aim yourself at the highest good. Tool yourself into something that can attain it. And, then go out in the world and manifest it."

I believe connecting with other people is what brings purpose and meaning to our lives. I also believe there is a loneliness epidemic in society that poses a health risk that is more dangerous than smoking or doing drugs.

Something I know I can do to create good in the world is to host events like this that are WELCOMING and SAFE for people to explore making new connections. A lot of people ask me why I volunteer so much time to host these events, and that is why.

I am doing my upmost to foster community in a world where everyone seems to struggle to find community.

So, if you feel like you are lacking connection in your life and have yet to make it out to one of my events, then I highly encourage you to commit to coming out to one of my events soon.

Tonight we are at McMenamins on Broadway, which is an amazing 2nd floor location.

If you are new to Meetup, or if coming to a social event makes you a little anxious, please know I will try to personally greet everyone who comes to this event. And also help introduce you into a conversation, if you like.

The event starts at 6pm, but please feel free to stop by anytime while the event is going on. There is no such thing as being late.

I suggest thinking about some interests/hobbies/passions you may want to talk about for this event. I have found that a good start to finding friends is to share a hobby or interest or passion.
