About us
Questionable Chemistry is for singles in Lisbon who are tired of swiping and ready for something a little more human.
Think old-school speed dating: real people, short face-to-face dates, a lovely venue and hopefully a little chemistry. 💌
No algorithms. No endless texting. No pressure.
Just show up, have a drink and see what happens.
Uncomfortable is where the good stories start.
Come say hi. We're much nicer than our name suggests. 😅

Lisbon Speed Dating
Bar Old Vic, Tv. Henrique Cardoso 41, 1700-227 Lisboa, Portugal, Lisboa, PTQUESTIONABLE CHEMISTRY - Lisbon Speed Dating
Come meet your next questionable decision.
Dating apps are exhausting. So we're making it awkward in person instead. 😎
Swiping left, swiping right, ghosting, being ghosted. Dating shouldn't feel like a part-time job. 😒
So let's try something radical: meeting actual humans, in actual life. Apparently that's revolutionary now.
📅 When: November 19th, 19:00-21:00
Please be there on time. Don't keep your questionable match waiting.
📍 Where: Old Vic, Lisbon
💶 How much: €5 per person + One drink at the venue
Pay in advance HERE.
Your spot is confirmed only after payment confirmation.🥂 THE SETUP
- Single men and women, around 30-40, all equally nervous and pretending not to be. (Slightly outside the range? Don't overthink it.)
- 7 minutes per date, then you rotate. ⏱️ Long enough to feel a spark, short enough to escape a 40-minute monologue about someone's ex. (Forget the classic speed dating with tables packed like sardines. Here, privacy is part of the charm.)
- Icebreaker ranging from genuinely interesting to delightfully ridiculous.
- A charming, old-fashioned Lisbon venue with warm lighting, vintage vibes and private corners (no… not that kind).
At the end, you choose privately who you'd like to see again. We only share mutual matches. No awkward rejections, no public humiliation. We are adults. Mostly.
💸 CONTRIBUTION
€5 per person + One drink at the venue
Cocktail, coffee, beer, wine, your call. Dating shouldn't require a second mortgage. 😉Limited spots and prepaid only. Save your spot paying HERE.
Your spot is confirmed only after payment confirmation. If by any change we have to cancel, you’ll receive a full refund. No-shows aren’t refundable — think of it as the price of leaving someone without a date. 😉📍 VENUE
- Cash only: the venue doesn't take cards, so bring cash for your drinks. 💶
- Getting there: easy by metro, with connections from Entrecampos, Roma, Arroios, Campo Pequeno and beyond. 🚇
- Finding us: see the venue's name? Wrong side! Head downhill, follow the colourful mural 🎨 around to the opposite side, and look for us waiting outside. We'll welcome you, explain how it works, and go in together.
Nervous? Good. Everyone is.
Come as you are. Sarcasm is welcome, awkwardness is expected, respect is non-negotiable.Come for the dates. Stay for the plot twists. 🍸

👋 WHO WE ARE
We're Questionable Chemistry: two friends in Lisbon who got tired of swiping and decided to make dating a little more human (and a lot more entertaining). Here's what we've learned: nothing great happens in your comfort zone. It's cosy, sure, but the good stuff lives a few steps outside of it. Like sitting across from a stranger for seven minutes. Terrifying? A little. Worth it? Usually.
No algorithms, no pressure, just good company, a lovely venue and a few questionable decisions along the way. We'll be there from the first welcome to the last round, and if things get awkward, we'll own it first.
