Breaking down gender bias: How technology can leverage diversity in hiring

Jenifer Clausell-Tormos has a PhD in Biohemistry and Technology Development from the university of Strasbourg, France. She has pursued her career as a scientific reseacher in Strasbourg, London, Madrid and Copenhagen. Her research focus has been over 10 years on drug discovery for biomedical applications using state-of-the-art technologies. Recently however, her passion for gender equality and diversity has shifted her research interest to cognitive theory of gender and gender stylistics. This has resulted in her becoming an entrepreneur and founder of "Develop Diverse" - a start-up whose mission it is to build software that removes gender bias and stereotyping occuring during the hiring process. Its vision is to make diversity the new norm for businesses.
