QUIET COMPANY
For intentional men aged 21 to 35, 6 foot 3 (191 cm) and above, building a business or seriously working on a project of their own.
Seven places. Kept deliberately small.
Tall Founders Manchester
Ever felt like you’re putting in the quiet work, but missing a circle of people who understand the rhythm?
Not people building the same thing. Just tall, ambitious people who understand what it means to keep showing up for something.
Quiet Company is a small Manchester based circle built around work, discretion and presence.
7 people. Twice a month.
This description is intentionally laid out in a simple, easy to read format. The idea is straightforward, but the details matter. Have a proper read and if it sounds like your kind of circle, reach out.
THE MEETUP
Meetup dates vary and are confirmed in advance, giving everyone enough notice to protect the time.
The structure stays simple.
90 minutes. Focused work.
Arrive knowing what you need to move forward. Then get on with it.
30 minutes. Break.
Step away. Talk. Reset.
90 minutes. Focused work.
Back into it. Finish the session properly.
Then, for anyone who wants to stay, we head somewhere good for food and conversation.
For our regular Manchester meetups, we’ll keep it grounded. Somewhere you can comfortably eat for around £20 or less.
There’s no pressure to eat or stay afterwards. The work comes first. Everything after that is simply a good way to let conversation and familiarity develop naturally.
THE ENVIRONMENT
Quiet Company is deliberately built around calmer environments.
We’re alcohol light, not alcohol centred.
A glass of wine or a cider alongside food is completely fine. The distinction is that drinking is never the activity.
The social side centres around good food, conversation, cultural environments and considered days out rather than pubs, clubs or partying.
You don’t need to live identically to everyone else outside the group.
But if your idea of a good time is good company, good conversation and being somewhere worth experiencing, you’ll probably feel at home here.
INTRODUCTIONS
Introductions stay simple.
Your name. What you’re building or working on in broad terms. What you came to get done that day.
That’s enough.
Nobody needs to arrive with an elevator pitch or explain their life story to a room of strangers.
We work first.
Familiarity develops naturally through the break, the meal afterwards and simply seeing the same people twice a month.
No forced networking. No forced familiarity.
ACTUAL WORK
Laptop. Phone. Notebook. Calls.
However you genuinely work.
This isn’t performative coworking. Nobody needs to sit behind a laptop pretending to be productive because everyone else is.
Arrive with something that needs doing. Leave having done it.
The point is simple. Protected time, good company and accountability without surveillance.
We may all be building completely different things, but we’re moving in the same general direction.

Our meetups are alcohol free.

WHAT MATTERS HERE
Consistency.
With only seven places, showing up matters.
The value comes from seeing the same people repeatedly, watching each other progress and building genuine trust over time.
Discretion.
Nobody needs to disclose clients, revenue, strategy or the finer details of what they’re building.
We can know the person, their direction and their discipline without needing access to everything behind them.
What is shared within the circle stays within the circle.
Intentional presentation.
Understand the cultural language of the environment you’re entering and carry yourself accordingly.
Different rooms call for different things. A coworking afternoon in Manchester and a considered evening elsewhere aren’t necessarily the same.
It isn’t about costume or performance.
It’s awareness.
CONNECTIONS
This isn’t a networking group.
But opportunities shouldn’t be ignored either.
If you meet someone within the circle or outside it and there’s genuine alignment, follow the conversation.
Just do it properly.
Read the room. Be curious before being transactional. Don’t turn every introduction into a pitch.
Opportunities are welcome. They just aren’t hunted.
FIRST, WE BUILD THE CIRCLE
For the first few months, nothing complicated.
Meet. Work. Eat. Repeat.
The priority is establishing the rhythm and seeing who consistently shows up.
Trust comes before access.
Once that foundation exists, we can introduce more.
PRESENCE DAYS
Over time, we’ll occasionally step outside our usual Manchester routine for Presence Days.
London. A considered hotel. A good restaurant. An exhibition. Somewhere worth experiencing together.
These days are optional, planned privately and agreed as a group, including what everyone is comfortable spending.
We understand the environment, dress accordingly and enjoy the day.
We don’t enter rooms hunting for connections.
But presence naturally creates curiosity, and curiosity sometimes creates conversation.
When genuine alignment appears, recognise it.
Presence may open the conversation. Character determines what happens next.
LOCATION
Quiet Company will meet in central Manchester.
Exact locations will be shared privately once the circle is established.
For now, the focus is on finding the right people before establishing a permanent meeting space.
BEFORE DECEMBER
The planned official launch is December 2026.
That said, if you message me personally before then, there’s a good chance we’ve already started meeting unofficially.
That’s intentional.
The time before December gives us a chance to cowork, get familiar and naturally sift out who is genuinely serious about showing up before the seven person circle is finalised.
No formal interview. No performance.
Just come with something real to work on and we’ll take it from there.
THE IDEA
Seven people.
Different businesses. Different projects. Different stories. Different ambitions.
But a shared understanding of quiet work, consistency, discretion and how to carry ourselves when we enter a room.
No need to build alone simply because what you’re building is your own.
Work quietly.
Show up consistently.
Understand the room.
Let presence do the rest.
Manchester.
Planned official launch December 2026.
