Coloring isn’t just for kids. With its power to increase focus and remove tension, it’s no wonder that more adults are sharpening their colored pencils and making time to color. Take an hour out of your day for a relaxing coloring event with Meetup Live.

Join Kathy Poitras, a renowned Canadian artist, and Meetup organizer, for a guided coloring session to learn new techniques for this timeless hobby. During this soothing event, you will also have the opportunity to color one of Kathy’s original coloring sheets, designed to help you get into a flow state and enjoy yourself. Put your mind at ease and let your creativity flow! Be sure to print the PDF of the coloring page and bring some coloring supplies to color along with us. Plus, stick around for Q&A at the end.

  • Crayons, felt tip markers, or colored pencils of your choice. Make sure to have some colors that you find pleasing
  • A printed copy of the attached coloring page, your own coloring prompt, or any paper you have on hand

  • Coloring Demo (40 mins)
  • Q&A session (15 mins)

About Kathy Poitras:
Kathy Poitras was so immersed in her own imagination that she barely made it out of kindergarten. She was always busily imagining a magical world around her.

Though she knew she was an artist, there were many barriers to face. It wasn't until Kathy's early thirties she actually started painting. She has sold over 300 original paintings and countless handmade art cards, and reproductions of her work.

Kathy is inspired by her own emotions and the beauty and joy she sees around her. Her mediums include watercolor, acrylic, hand embroidery, beads, and appliqué as well as pen and ink. All of Kathy’s color your own images are inspired by her own paintings and created by hand. As well as painting Kathy enjoys sharing her experiences, inspiration, and expertise with others.
