What we’re about
We are not a travel agency and we receive no money from the cruise lines we book on. This is a group for individuals interested in cruising out of Port Canaveral and Tampa (for the most part). All cruises will be un-hosted unless otherwise specified. The group was started for like-minded people to join others in cruising. I am looking forward to cruising with everybody. I will post cruises I have booked and will post cruises members have booked so others may join in the fun. It is always more fun to have friends to cruise with. Let's meet on a cruise and have fun, relax and just have a nice time enjoining life. If you have booked a cruise and would like me to post it here so others can join simply send me the details and ask me to post them.
Cruising takes free time, desire, planning, and money. Those four things must coincide for someone to book the cruise. I plan to post cruises that a person(s) has already booked and would like people to join them. This may not be a good form for cruising as most of us do not know each other. I usually book with friends. I could set up specific cruises, but without input from all of the members, I cannot schedule cruises that most people will choose to join. For example, Cruise lines are often loved and hated so choosing one that will draw a big group may be difficult. Hopefully, over time we may get a core of people who cruise together regularly and others will join in from time to time. Time will tell.
- RULES:
- A well-defined photographic picture will be required before approval as a new member or to continue as a member. Exceptions will be made for victims of domestic violence or stalking.
- All members should be open about who they are, their intentions, and their affiliations. All group and event descriptions should be accurate, so members can make informed decisions about their participation.
- Respecting people's time, attention, personal choices, and personal boundaries is essential to creating safe and trusting communities. Be respectful in interactions with people and in content posted on the platform. Behaviors that are dishonest, undermine the integrity of the group, violate personal boundaries, or serve to intentionally upset people are not allowed.
- Our events are not designed to be for dating or business solicitation and the same will not be tolerated.
- Engaging with anyone in a non-consensual way is strictly prohibited. If ever in doubt, ask the person for permission.
- If you cannot come to an event you signed up for, you must message us as soon as possible. We use text messaging at events to connect with people who are late. The Meetup comments can also be used, but texting is preferred.
