You know the work nobody sees. Picking the date. Writing the description. Sending the reminder one more time. Getting there early to make sure the room feels right.
You built something real. Maybe it started with a handful of people who kept showing up. Maybe there are hundreds now. Either way, you're the reason it exists; and some months, you're the only reason it keeps going.
This group is for you.
We're a community of Meetup organizers who are a little tired of doing it alone. Here's what you'll find:
- A short post every day. One idea to keep you going, and one small thing you can actually do that day.
- Honest conversation about what's working and what isn't, from people running groups like yours.
- Live sessions on the hard parts: getting people to show up, keeping them coming back, and finally earning something from the work you're already doing.
- Other organizers who get it, because they're in it right now too.
This is probably you if:
- Your RSVPs look fine but half that number walks in
- You're doing all of it by hand: the invites, the reminders, the follow-ups
- You've thought, more than once, there has to be a way to make this sustainable
You don't need a big group. You don't need a plan. You just need to be someone who keeps showing up for people, and wants it to feel lighter.
A little about what comes next: some of what we talk about here goes further than Meetup was built to go. When you're ready for that part: your own space, your own members, a real way to earn from what you've built; there's a private community where we walk through it together, step by step.
