About us
For the people who run the groups.
You know the work nobody sees. Picking the date. Writing the description. Sending the reminder one more time. Getting there early to make sure the room feels right.
You built something real. Maybe it started with a handful of people who kept showing up. Maybe there are hundreds now. Either way, you're the reason it exists; and some months, you're the only reason it keeps going.
This group is for you.
We're a community of Meetup organizers who are a little tired of doing it alone. Here's what you'll find:
- A short post every day. One idea to keep you going, and one small thing you can actually do that day.
- Honest conversation about what's working and what isn't, from people running groups like yours.
- Live sessions on the hard parts: getting people to show up, keeping them coming back, and finally earning something from the work you're already doing.
- Other organizers who get it, because they're in it right now too.
This is probably you if:
- Your RSVPs look fine but half that number walks in
- You're doing all of it by hand: the invites, the reminders, the follow-ups
- You've thought, more than once, there has to be a way to make this sustainable
You don't need a big group. You don't need a plan. You just need to be someone who keeps showing up for people, and wants it to feel lighter.
A little about what comes next: some of what we talk about here goes further than Meetup was built to go. When you're ready for that part: your own space, your own members, a real way to earn from what you've built; there's a private community where we walk through it together, step by step. No rush at all. Start here, and you'll see what I mean.
Come say hello. Tell us about your group. We'd love to meet you.

Stop Talking, Start Thriving: How to Build a Community That Runs Itself
·OnlineOnlineLearn exactly how to design a community people will choose, and get a year of support in building a community no one wants to leave.
Do you feel like you're the only one talking in your online community? Are you exhausted from posting content and getting little to no response from your members?
This informative experience will teach you a different way. You will learn how to step back and let your members take the lead. Instead of being the "star of the show," you'll become the host of a conversation that runs itself.
We will walk through a simple, step-by-step plan that turns your group into a real community. You will learn how to ask the right questions to spark discussion, how to handle a quiet room, and why the secret to a lasting community is actually saying less.
In this experience, you will discover:
- The one rule that changes your role from "leader" to "listener."
- How to ask questions that get real answers (not just "yes" or "no").
- Why you shouldn't reply to the first few comments and what to do instead.
- How to identify the key members who will start the conversation for you.
- How to measure what really matters; like getting more different people to talk.
If you're tired of talking to an empty room and want to build a space where members connect with each other, this workshop is for you.

Real Stories, Real Results: Using Member Success to Grow Your Association
·OnlineOnlineLearn how to let your members tell your story for you; because their words are always more believable than yours.
You know your community is valuable. But when you try to explain it to new people, do you end up just listing features? "We have great discussions," or "We have expert members." That doesn't really grab anyone.
What grabs people is a story. A story about someone just like them who was stuck, frustrated, or confused; and found the answer inside your community.
This experience teaches you how to find, capture, and share those member success stories. You'll learn a simple system for turning a quiet member's journey into your most powerful tool for attracting new people and keeping current members engaged.
In this session, you will discover:
- How to find the member with the best story (it's not always the most active one).
- Why you should never publish a member's story without their final approval.
- How to structure the article so the member is the hero; not you.
- How to turn one story into a tool that works for you for months (or even years).
- How to measure if your stories are actually making a difference.
If you're tired of sounding like a brochure and want to show prospects what your associaion really does, this experience is for you.
