What weβre about
MVP - Meetup VOLUNTEERS of Pittsburgh! π
Are you looking to make a positive and powerful impact within your community and for the benefit of those less fortunate?
Are you seeking a larger purpose in life - one that will serve to leave a legacy and make a profound and lasting difference in the lives of others?
If so, please consider joining MVP!
This is a great Meetup volunteer group for singles, retirees, students, and individuals who are available and simply want to give back in a meaningful way and leave our world a better place.
This group also provides its members with companionship, as well as opportunities to develop friendships or future relationships with like-minded individuals who share that passion to serve!
We plan and coordinate volunteer events with charities, non-profits, and other organizations throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area and beyond!
Volunteer activities and events are open to all ages, throughout the week and 365 days per year!
Suggestions for volunteer opportunities and events from members are encouraged and welcome.
LIVE TO SERVE, SERVE TO LIVE β MVP! π
7th Annual Fallen Heroes Ride - PA Southwest Veteran Center Volunteer Squad!
This will be the second time MVP will be volunteering in support of the Fallen Heroes Ride organized by a local veteran support group - OVN (One Veteran Now).
Each year OVN recognizes a different group of veterans during this event. This year, they will be honoring Vietnam Veterans.
This year the event will be run in the memory of 92 Vietnam Veterans KIA from Westmoreland County.
PA Southwestern Veterans Center
The PA Southwestern Veterans Center on Highland Drive in Pittsburgh has asked us for help in escorting veterans from the center throughout the event grounds at Z & M Harley Davidson in Greensburg, PA.
What to Expect
We will be escorting wheelchair bound PA SWVC residents throughout the event. We will be spending time with them and providing companionship.
There will be food trucks, military displays, veteran service organization resource booths, band and military representation at the event for the veteran residents to engage with.

MVP Group Meetup Subscription Fundraiser
If you have benefitted from being an MVP member and would like the group to continue, please consider helping pay the Meetup Organizer Subscription costs.
I spend a great deal of time planning and coordinating events as Organizer. Any contribution is welcome.
I am hoping to raise enough before the current subscription ends in about a week from now.
The next six month subscription begins on Aug 7, 2025.
Any amount that you can afford to contribute would be greatly appreciated!
Contributions can be made via:
VENMO, in person at the next MVP event or however you would like to help.
Zelle, checks, and in person cash contributions are an option as well.
THANK YOU!
It is a true pleasure to continue to serve the Greater Pittsburgh community with you all!

The ability for people in need to drop in at any time the Market is open allows for greater flexibility for those who may not be able to make it to distribution events, which happen weekly.
