Humane Animal Rescue Pittsburgh @ Wildlife Center Tree Planting Project
Come join your fellow MVPs at HARP's Wildlife Center to plant about 30 native trees to help beautify the center's property. We will have the opportunity to interact with center's staff and become oriented with facility.
From the HARP Wildlife Center Manager:
- A professional will be at the center to direct volunteers on what to plant, where to plant it, and how. We will also be putting cages around the trees (they are little saplings, nothing big) so all our deer on campus don't go after them.
- Volunteers will be outdoors the whole time, so dress for the weather.
- Volunteers are welcome to bring their own water bottles (refillable is fine, we have a water cooler they can use to re-fill), bug spray, and sun block, if they would like.
Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh website
Volunteers at our Wildlife Rehabilitation Center support our mission to help and release injured, sick, and orphaned wild animals. From animal husbandry to daily operations, you could play a vital role in our organization’s dedication to local wildlife. Our clinic admits over 4,000 animals every year and has treated over 40,000 animals since opening our doors.
RSVP NOTE
Please understand that your RSVP needs to be an otherwise FIRM COMMITMENT. We understand that life happens and sometimes things come up that may force people to cancel, however the organization is counting on us to be there for those in need.
