Snowshoeing is the winter version of track and field. Special Olympics will need timers, score recorders, and awards help.

  2. Select desired event
  3. Sign up for the job of your choice!

You will receive an EMAIL CONFIRMATION once your event SIGN UP is complete.

Special Olympics Snowshoeing Sport Description:

Snowshoeing is quickly becoming a favorite for outdoor winter activity. Combining aerobic activity with ease of walking over snow without sinking in, snowshoeing is an activity for all ages. Snowshoe races are part of the Arctic Winter Games and the winter Special Olympics. Special Olympics snowshoeing is a track and running competition on snow. Part of the appeal of snowshoeing is its simplicity. If you can walk, you can snowshoe! If you can run, you can snowshoe faster. Many of the techniques to better snowshoeing are subtle, and you can become almost an expert by mastering the skills here. Then it becomes a matter of practice and conditioning if your athletes wish to improve.

It is understood that life happens and sometimes things come up that may force members to cancel (weather, illness, transportation, etc.), however the organization is counting on us to be there to fill the needed volunteer slots.
