Cantonese & English Conversational Practice (for Huaren & Descendants)
We practice spoken conversation only (no reading/writing). Topics are casual, not personal. One warning for breaking rules; second violation = removal.
RSVP is required. Anyone who doesn’t respect the group’s time will not be invited again.
Cantonese group requirements:
• If you know zero Cantonese and zero Mandarin → do not join
• If your Mandarin is below 75% or Cantonese is below 1% → do not join
• If you know less than 10–20% of common idioms/proverbs → do not join
It is impossible to learn with no Chinese foundation.
English group:
• If you know Cantonese, translation into English is available
Sessions start online (all events ate held over HT public rooms, no exceptions!). You must download the app.
