Today, Christians whinge that Christmas is losing its Christian roots.
That's based on a Christian falsehood because Christianity hijacked the holiday from the pagans in the first place to make it easier to convert followers.
And also for many centuries, the true traditional Christian Christmas was only about giving to Jesus (aka the church) for his fake birthday.
ChristMyth has many meanings for many people but for many it is as Linus says in the parody to Charlie Brown: "it is a wonderful opportunity to share our love with friends and family, and commit acts of goodwill for those that are less fortunate.
It is a time for children to revel in their innocence and wonder about the world, and adults to find their inner child."
That's what ChristMyth is all about, Charlie Brown.
Interesting fact: the only people to ever try to ban Christmas ... were Christians.
It is near the Mooroolbark railway station therefore accessible by trains on the Lilydale line.
You are invited and welcome.
Please share the invitation with other Atheists.
Regards,
Andrew
