What we’re about
Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA) runs free, non judgemental, peer to peer Depression support group led by a facilitator. This group focuses on empowering and connecting consumers ,caregivers, family and friends.
We aim to inspire, educate and motivate you to help you achieve better mental health. Our support groups provides a safe, inclusive and confidential space for all participants to speak about their feeling and to discuss coping strategies.
The groups focus on individuals’ strengths , not weaknesses and works towards the individual’s wellbeing and recovery. Support groups do not require a referral nor a formal diagnosis, if you wish to participate in the group, please sign up on our website: www.mhfa.org.au

Introducing Akshay as our current facilitator. Akshay has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences and is passionate about understanding and managing depression, anxiety and stressed based disorders. Akshay takes a non-judgemental, compassionate approach to addressing mental health issues and engages participants to share in a positive and safe environment.
Come along and be with people who understand and share in your experiences. They may start out as strangers but they will quickly become friends.
