About us
We live in stressful and challenging times. While still in the shadows of a pandemic, we strive to find our ‘new’ normal and resume our regular lives. However, the more modern our world becomes, with almost daily medical and technological advances, the more we, as a society, become more stressed, anxious and isolated. And for many there are the added challenges of life crises and trauma.
It is estimated that around 75% of all visits to the GP are stress related and stress, and lack of stress recovery, has been linked to a whole range of physical and mental health problems.
So is there any antidote?
Overall, life can become too serious and we can feel ‘stuck’ in the problems of our everyday existence. We need to lighten up, with others, and to focus on our well being in inventive, positive and enjoyable ways. And the the good news is that there are practices such as connecting to others, consciously focusing on positivity; relaxation and meditation; movement such as yoga and dance; being playful and connecting to a level of joy through laughter, that can help.
The Live Well and Laugh Well Being Program incorporates all of these elements. It is a combination of laughter, meditation and movement and set in a warm and welcoming environment.
“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” William James
