BeSocial is a friendship-first social app designed to help people form genuine friendships and make meaningful connections.
We started BeSocial because making friends as an adult can be hard. You might be new to Melbourne, working from home, studying, rebuilding your social circle, or just wanting to meet people outside your usual routine. Even with social media and group chats, it can still be difficult to find people you genuinely connect with.
Through the app, you can discover people nearby, connect over shared interests, answer conversation prompts, and meet others who are also open to building new friendships.
BeSocial Melbourne on Meetup is an extension of the app. These events are a way for people to meet in person through relaxed, low-pressure activities like coffee catch-ups, walks, brunches, markets, games, creative outings, and social mixers.
The app helps you start the connection, and the events give you a chance to meet face-to-face.
You don’t need to come with a friend, know anyone beforehand, or be the most outgoing person in the room. The aim is simply to create a welcoming space where people can meet, chat, and hopefully find people they connect with.
