Welcome to the Melbourne Shakespeare Society! We are a group of Shakespeare enthusiasts and literary lovers who come together to celebrate the works of the Bard. Whether you're a seasoned Shakespearean scholar or someone who simply enjoys classic literature and theatre, this group is for you. We host meetings focused on the plays of Shakespeare and other Early Modern playwrights, including play readings and discussions. Join us to connect with like-minded individuals, expand your literary knowledge, and delve into the magical world of Shakespearean dramatic storytelling.

End-of-Year Festive Gathering!
Collingwood Library Meeting Room, 11 Stanton Street, Abbotsford Vic 3067, Melbourne, AUPlease join the MSS for our end-of-year traditional festive gathering, with fun, frolics, games and delicious fare! It's an occasion to look back at the year and celebrate the holiday season!
Members are invited to perform 'party pieces' (no pressure to do so, though!) and Peter will host his annual trivia quiz. Sue will run her traditional Autolycus stall, for you to snap up presents and trifles, and Tony will hold a second-hand book stall.
Reminder: there will be no credit facilities, only cash can be accepted.
Cost: $7 per person
